Pastor Gerri Di Somma

Chancellor

A South African with Italian roots, Pastor Gerri moved to Bristol in 1996 to pioneer a Church and Bible School. Both have proved to be successful through numerical growth and transformed lives, demonstrating Gerri’s apostolic calling. Gerri is also a much-loved teacher, preacher, mentor, counsellor, father-figure, author and musician. In 2015, Gerri took the God-given blueprint of the Church and Bible School in Bristol to Houston, Texas, where he now lives with his wife, Michelle. Gerri has four children and ten grandchildren. He enjoys many interests, particularly Country and Western music, but his favourite pastime is discussing God’s Word.

Pastor Michelle Di Somma

Vice-Chancellor

Pastor Michelle came to Bristol from South Africa in 1996 with her husband, Gerri, and their four children. Together, Gerri and Michelle pioneered a successful Church and Bible School. While in Bristol, Michelle also established a ministry for Christian women, which includes annual conferences and mentoring groups. Michelle’s undeniable prophetic gift coupled with her compassionate nature and teaching ability, makes her a powerful minister of God. Michelle now lives in Houston, Texas, with Gerri, where she is currently studying for a master’s degree in Missional Leadership. As a mother and grandmother, Michelle loves to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Pastor Michael Fletcher

CLA Director

In 2005, Pastor Michael relocated from north to south, joining the leadership team at Carmel City Church and the teaching staff at Carmel Bible School, Bristol. Michael is now the director of Carmel Leadership Academy. He is well-known for his pastoral gift, which is shown though his compassion and love for people. Michael is married with three adult children. He enjoys spending time with his family and watching football.

Pastor Darrell Irwin

In 2001, Pastor Darrell made the decision to give his life to Jesus, including his well-paid career. Shortly afterwards, he experienced the transforming power of God’s Word while studying at ABTC. Now he uses his creative talent for God’s kingdom, having founded Cre8ion, a marketing agency. Darrell and his wife are campus pastors at Carmel City Church and they have three children. Darrell enjoys football, music, gaming, films and travelling.

Alison Carson

Believing that God has a special plan for the city, Bristol-born Alison has chosen to keep Bristol as her home town. Alison is passionate about putting her faith into action, which she does through the soup run, prison ministry, healing school and missions. A graduate of ABTC and CLA, with a background in education, she also loves to teach. Alison is married with one daughter and enjoys travel, reading and music.

Rev David Moss

David is a Charismatic Anglican vicar in Bristol, who joined the Carmel Leadership Academy teaching team in 2010. He has a degree in Theology and Ministry and a master’s degree in Jewish Christian Relations. His contribution of leadership experience combined with his expert knowledge of the Hebrew language has been invaluable. David is married with five children and is a classic car enthusiast, who drives an old Morris Traveller.

Nathan Logan

God led Nathan, our resident ‘geordie’, to Carmel City Church in 2001. Since then, he has been involved with the worship team as a musician and worship leader, and he now serves as the Worship Director. Nathan brings a strong prophetic edge to worship, and is passionate about people encountering the Father heart of God through intimate worship. Married with three daughters, he also enjoys reading and going to the cinema.

Kutie Ngundu

Kutie grew up in Zimbabwe and immigrated to the UK with his family in 2000. He graduated from Carmel Bible College in 2007 and from university in 2015. He is a Mental Health Practitioner, currently employed as a team manager for the NHS. Together with his wife, Kutie also helps new believers to understand the essential elements of Christian faith. Kutie has two sons and enjoys reading and travelling.

Rev Robert Baker

Bristol-born Rev Robert joined Carmel City Church in 1999. With an extensive ministry background in mission work, it wasn’t long before Robert was taking Bible School students on overseas mission trips. More than 200 students have joined him, to date. Robert is the founder of Gospellife International, which is currently undertaking a substantial work in Uganda. He is married with two adult children and enjoys watching nature through the seasons.

Andrew Smallridge

In 2008, Andrew moved to Bristol with his wife, where they became members of Carmel City Church and attended Carmel Bible College. CBC was instrumental in helping Andrew discover his God-given gifts and potential. He is now employed as the manager of the Carmel Bookshop and he also serves pastorally in the youth ministry. Andrew has three children and his greatest delight is spending time with them and hearing them laugh.

Coleen Milton

Coleen moved to Bristol in 1974 and embarked upon her working career, which included running her own company. She gained a wealth of specialist experience, particularly with project management, administration and assessment. Since her graduation from CBC in 2010, she has been using her skills within the college in addition to the marketplace. She is married, has two adult children and one grandchild. She enjoys family times, travelling and motorbike riding.
